The Executive Associate Program is designed for 2nd year MBA students who seek to accelerate their career within M&T Bank. Program hires will undergo an immersive leadership experience designed to develop leadership competencies and strategic capabilities. Throughout the first year, the incoming cohort will be introduced to Program alumni, bank wide leadership, and collaborate with peers to drive change to support the vision and goals of the Bank.
As an Executive Associate in the Enterprise Sales Enablement department, you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping how the enterprise creates omni channel marketing and sales customer experiences, equips frontline teams with the processes, education, reporting, technology, and intelligence for effective customer engagements, to maximize customer experience, deepen wallet share capture, and accelerate organic sales revenue growth. Your advanced degree and experiences align to the Executive Associate program and the ESE team because your role will require ownership of enterprise-critical deliverables, independent structuring of ambiguous problems, cross-line of business orchestration, and the creation of executive-ready insights and communication. Completed MBA from an accredited business school.
Minimum two years professional, full time work experience.
Demonstrated leadership potential, as evidenced through previous work experience, extracurricular activities, or community involvement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically analyze complex business challenges
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

Experience Desired:
o Strong analytical and data acumen. Ability to work with data teams to define business logic, understand data structures, and interpret performance signals; comfort with quantitative frameworks and structured problem solving.
o Commercial and strategic mindset. Demonstrated ability to think like a business owner—identifying growth levers, sizing market or portfolio opportunities, and translating findings into prioritized, financially grounded recommendations.
o Experience in marketing, sales enablement, or go to market strategy (preferred). Familiarity with demand generation, segmentation, or multi channel activation is a plus.
o Exceptional communication and influence. Proven ability to synthesize complexity into crisp narratives, build alignment across diverse teams, and lead without authority—critical for orchestrating work across Sales, Data, Marketing, and Technology.
