The Opportunity:

As a Data Science Associate Intern you will provide statistical programming support to Analytical Data Scientists involved in clinical research in Product Development. This is a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to various scientific and statistical aspects of drug development, where data scientists play a crucial role. 

  • Use R/SAS for programming and application development, supporting the statistical analysis and interpretation of clinical trials.

  • Program and generate statistical analysis datasets and summaries, including tables, listings, and graphs, based on specifications and standards.

  • Work with data scientists and stakeholders from various disciplines to answer scientific questions, contributing to publications and presentations.

  • Offer analytical and programming support for personalized healthcare, biomarker development, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling, and develop software such as R packages, R Shiny applications, or automation workflows for data engineering and analysis.

Who you are:

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Data Science degree.

  • You are proficient in programming in R.

  • In addition to technical capabilities in statistics and statistical programming, candidates must possess strong problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.

Preferred:

  • You are proficient in programming in SAS.

Additional Information

  • Duration: This position is an 8-month.

  • Work term: Full-time (35 hours per week) and will begin in May 2026.

  • Location: This internship position is located in Mississauga. 

  • Our team follows a hybrid work structure (majority of time in the office).

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 57 416,00 and 75 358,50 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
