As a Summer 2026 Co-op, you will support the Capital Markets Financial Risk team in the CAE/Internal Audit Group. The team provides an independent and objective assessment of Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk practices, with coverage across RBC entities globally, including Canada, US, Europe/UK and APAC.

What will you do?

  • Assist in analyzing data and development of tableau dashboard to support the execution of technical audits related to a broad range of Market risk and Counterparty Credit risk topics
  • Analyze business requirements and work with subject matter experts to review and select the appropriate analytical tools to support the execution of audits
  • Help develop and maintain working relationship with business stakeholders to become a trusted advisor

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Working towards a Finance/Business/Computer science related university degree
  • Experience in writing code using general-purpose programming languages. Python is a strong asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent writing and research skills, strong interpersonal skills and conceptual thinker

Nice-to-have

  • General understanding and awareness of capital markets and/or financial risk concepts
