Job Description

As an Audit Analyst in the Centralized Testing Group, you will collaborate within a dynamic, global team to support internal audit engagements, regulatory compliance initiatives, risk monitoring activities, and other critical operations under the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Group. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to high-quality audit deliverables while gaining hands-on exposure to RBC’s products, services, businesses, and technology platforms. This role emphasizes developing control testing skills and critical thinking, with opportunities to identify innovative solutions for enhancing audit processes and risk mitigation strategies. Through this role, you will build foundational expertise in audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance within a collaborative, global environment, positioning yourself for growth in the field.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to the execution of control testing, ensuring effective practices and established methodologies are followed. Also ensure that quality documentation is produced by assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.

  • Develop an understanding of the control environment, analyze information, execute testing, and develop and communicate work outcomes to audit teams.

  • Receive frequent mentoring from colleagues, including senior leaders from Internal Audit, who will support your growth and ability to achieve career goals. Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Working towards a Bachelors or Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration or other related field 

  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines

Nice-to-have

  • Basic knowledge of control testing methodologies, risk management, regulatory / compliance principles, and/or audit principles.

  • Understanding of banking operations, processes and controls.

  • Flexible mindset, with the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in a dynamically changing environment.

Please note

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
