Description:

Responsible for the safe and accurate processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results, maintaining laboratory equipment and performing quality control in the clinical laboratory. Also responsible for specifically designated lead tech responsibilities.

Shift: Night Shift and Day Shifts Available.

What Patient Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MLT) will do:

 

  • Fulfills assigned lead tech responsibilities: calibration, calibration verification, maintenance, quality control, procedure review
  • Effectively plans, organizes and performs daily workloads. Resolves worklist pending issues prior to the next shift beginning whenever possible.
  • Interacts professionally with the Laboratory Department Manager, Pathologist, clinical laboratory personnel and other co-workers, as well as patients and the public.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations, calmly and levelheadedly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates/Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology.
  • National Licensure as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician - ASCP, AMT
