About the Role
Team Global Express is seeking a Yard Shunt Truck Driver to commence immediately at Larapinta on Brisbane's South Side. This is a Full-Time Permanent role with an hourly rate of $37.65/hour, plus penalties and 15% superannuation. The role is primarily site-based and involves working in a busy, fast-paced yard environment
Key Responsibilities
Operate shunt trucks to safely maneuver, couple, and uncouple trailers within the yard environment.
Move trailers on and off docks safely (including B-Doubles).
Complete 50+ trailer movements daily with attention to detail.
Follow yard sheets and complete PM shift handovers.
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and stage freight.
Maintain forklift and general yard cleanliness.
Follow airlock procedures for all trailers on dock.
Lock/unlock trailers according to safety requirements.
Communicate via two-way radio with team and supervisors.
Identify and report damages promptly.
Follow all safety and WHS procedures consistently.
Maintain safe and organized yard operations.
Minimize congestion and ensure smooth trailer/freight flow.
Follow instructions and carry out duties within set time frames.
Comply with hazard, near miss, and incident reporting processes.
Demonstrate a safety-first approach at all times.
What you'll bring
Valid MC Drivers Licence
Valid Forklift Licence
Experience in TUG Operations/Yard duties (Terberg/Daysworth Tug) is preferred
You must have Full Rights to work in Australia
You must have a high attention towards Safety
