SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), dairy ingredients and dairy free products.

This is a key role for site where you will work across a variety of activities to support the upkeep of the site and grounds – including grass cutting and landscaping, weekly fire sprinkler testing, gutter clearing, site painting works, general site and door maintenance, bin maintenance and clearing.

You’ll be directly delivering and work closely with external contractors to ensure they comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental legislations, along with business policies and procedures.

Work pattern:

Monday-Friday (with some weekend support expected)

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

• Taking responsibility for personal and site safety
• Planning, tracking, and closing out all engineering requirements with external contractors
• Maintaining and draining of all chemical bunds as directed by planned maintenance scheduling
• Supporting with loading, transferring, unloading, and storage within the yard as required
• Safely using forklift and telehandler as required
• Ensuring paperwork is completed as required (water transfer notes, delivery notes, work tracking, permit to work)
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental legislations, and business policy & procedures
• Participating in continuous improvement of service delivery ensuring that policies and procedures comply with requirements
• Supporting and completing any ad-hoc duties as instructed by site management or site administrator

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

• Experience working within a similar role (including building maintenance driving, and yard responsibilities)
• Knowledgeable of building standards – demonstratable understanding of hygiene within a manufacturing environment is advantageous
• In possession of a full and valid UK driving license
• Able to demonstrate experience using an FLT and telehandler (current or previous license a strong benefit)
• A team player and able to operate in a flexible and adaptable way
• A good written and verbal communicator
• Able to maintain records and demonstrate an understanding of audit readiness
