Yard Operator

We are seeking a Yard Operator to join our team in Byhalia, MS. The position is scheduled for 7:00am – 3:30pm, Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.

What you bring:

  • Drive, commitment, positive attitude and high energy.
  • Must have a good understanding in how equipment operates.
  • Good understanding of H+S requirements and works in a safe manner.
  • Must be a self-starter and a team player.
  • Good people and communication skills: must be able to communicate well with all departments.
  • The ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 
  • Must be able to take direction and work at times with minimal supervision.

What you will be doing:

  • Replacing of the collection filters and cleaning filter box
  • Cleaning of the spinning chamber and the gooseneck
  • Cleaning of the seal drum/ drive sprocket/ collection screen
  • Cleaning of oven ducting/ exhaust fans / hoods
  • Cleaning Curing Oven filters and clean below Curing Oven when required
  • Cleaning Process Water tank and surrounding area
  • Cleaning the collection fan, impeller, and duct work when required
  • Preparing new sets of SPC filters (must always be ready)
  • Pressure washing of the filter cages
  • Keep the tool storage areas clean and organized
  • General cleanliness of the emissions building
  • Clean melter exhaust piping, collection auger area and LHC conveyor
  • Change out cooling zone filters
  • Clean cooling zone conveyor, ducting and fan
  • Clean recycle area and spinner waste screw augers
  • Clean SPC duct
  • Clean factory floor sump pits
  • Clean afterburner and dispose of waste 
  • Clean all decks
  • Offer ideas and suggestions for positive changes 
  • Responsible for cleanliness of the factory grounds
  • Remove waste and place it in appropriate bins
  • Ensure the waste and raw material storage areas are organized and orderly
  • Performed additional duties as needed, including painting, trim work, and other miscellaneous tasks.
