Yard Helper

Florida Express Environmental, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Yard Helper to join our team in Ocala, FL

The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday - Friday.

Start time is 7:00AM – 3:00 PM or until work is complete (end time varies).

Starting wage is $20.00/hour.

Safety Sensitive: Yes

***This position REQUIRES a Valid Drivers License***

Responsibilities:

• Yard and facility maintenance including debris and oil spot clean up
• Pressure washing of carts, portable toilets, equipment, parts, and storage areas as needed
• Picking up and sweeping windblown trash
• Running of errands, driving (non-CDL), picking up parts, cart/portable toilet deliveries
• Various utility tasks as needed
• Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
• During the summer season support portable toilet or trash routes as needed

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of work experience.  Preferably in a laborer type role.
• The ability to stand outside throughout an 8 hour shift.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and push/pull 100 lbs.
• Ability and will to work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass drug screen, motor vehicle report and pre-employment background check.
