CHEP is seeking a motivated Yard Driver to support our operations in Kilgore, TX. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our logistics moving smoothly by managing trailer positioning and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.

What You’ll Do

Trailer Movement & Yard Organization

• Safely operate a yard spotter truck to move trailers between dock doors, loading zones, and storage areas.
• Hook and unhook trailers and maintain a clean, organized yard with clear traffic paths.

Safety & Equipment Checks

• Follow all CHEP and regulatory safety procedures, including PPE requirements and yard traffic rules.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on yard trucks and trailers; report any maintenance needs promptly.

Documentation & Communication

• Accurately record trailer movements and report any issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff, loaders, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure trailers are positioned correctly and on time.

Material Handling & Forklift Operation

• Operate forklifts to move pallets and materials throughout the facility.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper placement and securement of items.
• Conduct forklift inspections and report any concerns immediately.

Other Duties

• Support additional tasks as assigned by management.
