THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
SCIB is looking for a XVA Trader based out of Madrid (Spain).
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Daily calculation, analysis, and monitoring of valuation adjustments (CVA, DVA, FVA, ColVA, MVA) on OTC derivatives portfolios.
Management and hedging of market risk associated with counterparty credit risk and funding risk exposures (Credit Risk, Interest Rate Risk, FX, etc.).
Quoting of client transactions, incorporating XVA impacts into pricing.
Continuous interaction with other Trading desks, Sales, Structuring, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure the correct implementation and ongoing improvement of valuation, pricing, and risk management models and processes.
Analysis of daily P&L results, explanation of variances vs. expected, and support for daily risk processes.
Participation in the development, enhancement, and automation of XVA pricing and reporting tools.
Monitoring of regulatory and capital metrics related to XVA.
Optimization of collateral asset portfolios, including funding costs, capital usage, and liquidity.
Design and pricing of bespoke products to meet the demand from our client bas

Professional Experience
1–4 years of Front Office experience in trading or structuring roles (Mandatory).
Previous experience in XVA Trading, options, exotic or hybrid trading, or Structuring (Preferred).
Previous experience in pricing and risk management of OTC derivative products (IR, FX, Credit, or Equity) (Preferred).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related quantitative disciplines (Mandatory).
Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or similar (Preferred).
Languages
English (able to conduct professional-level conversations) (Mandatory).
Spanish (Preferred).
Hard Skills
Knowledge of financial derivatives valuation models (Mandatory).
Basic programming skills in Python and VBA (Preferred).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and results-driven mindset.
Ability to work effectively in teams, clearly communicate complex ideas, and collaborate in multidisciplinary environments.
Highly motivated to learn and take on new challenges.
