Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.
The Technical Publications team has an immediate opening for a temporary XML Authoring Specialist. This role will support the Patriot program developing MIL-STD 40051 compliant technical manuals delivered in the Interactive and Display Software (IADS) viewer. You will create and tag updates into the existing Patriot technical manual library and interface with the Technical Manual team providing mentorship to less experienced authors in tagging Intermediate Maintenance (IM) technical manuals.
What You Will Do
Update technical manual data in MIL-STD 40051 XML
Create Interactive Active Display Software (IADS) deliverables
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Experience with MIL-STD 40051 XML and experience with Interactive and Display Software (IADS)
Experience with Intermediate Maintenance (IM) Patriot Technical Manuals development
Experience with AutoCAD, LINUX and Abortext XML Editor/Styler
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
The hourly rate for this role is $63.65 to $120.96. The compensation range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
