ELS is hiring for the position of WTP Specialist in Chehalis, Washington.What you’ll do:
The WTP manages a system of machines to transfer and/or treat water and wastewater.
Your job will include:
Collect and test water.
Operate equipment that purifies and clarifies water.
Inspect treatment equipment, including meters and gauges, as well as the operating conditions of the plant(s).
Record meter and gauge readings and other operational data.
Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds and other work areas as required.
Add chemicals such as ammonia or chlorine to disinfect water as needed.
Comply with US Environmental Protection Agency regulations and all safety standards.
Experience & skills you’ll need:
High school diploma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Associate’s degree in Water Quality Management or Wastewater Treatment Technology preferred.
Appropriate class license in the required state(s) of operation.
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, plant malfunctions or other issues.
Willingness and ability to work shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

Hourly: $32.00 - $32.00The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
