Amentum is seeking a WPN Technical Manager to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).
Essential Functions:
- In tandem with a new WPN Technical Supervisor, work with the WR SFRC management team to accomplish all technical related activities associated with the new Internet Protocol (IP) based Launch Test Range System (LTRS) communications infrastructure system, known as WPN.
- Guide team members in understanding company vision and principles and work in concert with other department managers to ensure successful planning and execution of all technical activities related to WPN, other IP based systems, and systems that utilize other modern technologies
- Provide matrixed resource support to other Engineering and O&M activities as directed.
- Utilize resource management data tools to identify and resolve resource issues and support escalation and communication to management.
- Recommend sequencing projects for effective resource.
- Support all relevant leadership data calls
- Develop and brief technical presentations to internal and external leadership stakeholders, as requested.
- Measure cumulative cost and schedule progress for portfolio of SFRC Engineering projects against a yearly spend plan.
- Support the maintenance, execution and improvements to applicable SFRC processes and procedures.
- Identify and support the resolution of technical issues and handle escalation and communication to management.
- Monitor workflow to ensure delivery of products on time in accordance with SFRC requirements.
- Prepare and provide progress and status reports, and briefings as required or requested, to inform department and program management of anticipated performance success, issues, improvement initiatives.
- Prepare cost and schedule estimates for individual SFRC project plans.
- Manage time accountability via company timekeeping system with approval responsibilities and resolution of any timecard issues.
- Develop of annual performance appraisals for each employee and the development of yearly team and individual goals.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience working in a technical environment, like engineering, operations, maintenance, or field installation
- Very good understanding of the system design process
- Experience working with Windows based computer systems and components and
Office tool suite. - Experience with ground-based Space Launch technologies such as RF Tracking, IT and Command/Control Systems preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Current DoDD 8140 IAT certifications or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
Salary and Other Compensation
- The annual starting salary for this position is between $140,000 – $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
