Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Physician to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide specialized wound management services to patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and surgical wounds
  • Develop and oversee individualized wound care treatment plans
    Perform wound debridement and other minor procedures as clinically indicated
  • Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and facility leadership to ensure optimal patient care
  • Provide education and guidance to clinical staff on wound prevention and best practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on the geriatric population

Requirements

  • MD or DO with an active and unrestricted state medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • DEA license
  • Experience in wound care (long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus)
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
