In this role, you can expect to:
Conduct onsite safety visits, review the adequacy of safety programs, and complete hazard assessments by conducting walk-throughs of worksites.
Analyze and create loss analysis reports for policyholders for use in identifying and prioritizing improved workplace safety practices.
Develop sound safety recommendations that help prevent workplace injuries and are a benefit to the policyholder’s bottom line.
Develop value-added customer servicing strategies that help foster strong customer relationships and help improve the policyholder’s overall risk performance.
Summarize onsite safety visits via written reports designed for internal and external customers such as underwriters and policyholders.
Develop and present training resources that inform safe working practices.
Investigate large losses and conduct adverse claim trend analysis to determine if loss prevention intervention is needed.
You are required to have:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and experience.
At least two years experience handling workplace safety programs or equivalent education, training, or experience.
A valid Texas driver's license. In-state travel is regularly required to mainly the Texas Hill Country, Austin, and San Antonio surrounding areas.
It would be great to also have:
Knowledge of workplace safety programs in the construction, services, and manufacturing industries as this role will support these trades.
Insurance or industry safety experience.
Recognized industry-related designation.
OSHA specific coursework.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Base Pay Range: $90,896.45 - $112,283.85 Per YearTexas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
