Location: Mexico City

The Mexico City office is located in the Polanco district of CDMX, where our cross-functional team assembles to create experiences for Crunchyroll's passionate communities. This position will require flexible travel to offices globally.

About The Role:

We are looking for a Workplace Experience Manager to lead, organize, and coordinate administrative duties and office procedures. This person will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the physical and cultural environments where employees work worldwide. They are responsible for overseeing and optimizing various aspects of workplace design, functionality, and amenities to foster productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. This role is responsible for fostering a healthy, safe, and enjoyable environment at Crunchyroll for both employees and guests. This person must be tech-savvy, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Ultimately, their role is pivotal in promoting a positive and supportive work environment that contributes to organizational success and employee well-being on a global scale.

A Day In The Life of Our Workplace Experience Manager:

  • Ensuring that employees and managers have the required safety training and are consistently working in a safe manner; developing and implementing safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Ensuring that the workplace complies with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations related to safety and facilities.
  • Proactively engaging closely with key partners in business and externally to provide transparency and best practices on emerging trends, risks, and issues related to safety and facilities.
  • Management of all facilities focused on vendor relationships (including in-office catering, snack and beverage services, janitorial, property management, security, and more).
  • Management of office budgets for (drinks, catering, office events, holiday parties, swag, etc).
  • Responsible for improving and maintaining the office facilities, including furniture, kitchen area, meeting rooms, and general office open areas.
  • Overseeing office supply inventory.
  • Lead and schedule routine maintenance and repair of the workplace, office equipment, gym, and assist IT with technology for the office.
  • Provide support to the Workplace Experience Team for build-outs, moves, physical space projects, and space planning.
  • Assist in coordinating projects related to the opening of new offices globally, including site selection, lease negotiations, space planning, and ensuring the office environment meets company standards.
  • Manage ongoing upkeep and renovations of existing offices to maintain a consistent and high-quality workplace experience across all locations. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient execution of office-related projects.
  • Recommend and implement office improvements to enhance our culture and employee wellness.
  • Support PeopleOps and IT teams as needed.
  • Work together with our global People Team for company social events, off-sites, and all-hands meetings
  • Design and implement creative ways to remind employees of how we embody our mission statement.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for physical space and service-related needs throughout the office.

 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Licenciatura) or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in Spanish and English, both verbally and in written form
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in facilities and workplace management experience.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems, leases, contracts, and related documents.
  • Knowledge of emergency/crisis management for building operations.
  • Track record in fiscal management and experience preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solicit buy-in from key stakeholders spread across locations globally.
  • Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves demeanor and a hands-on approach
  • Tech-savvy, ideally with knowledge in G-Suite.

 

Useful Skills

  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of flexible work, future of work, and employee experience. 
  • Experience with translating a company’s unique DNA and culture into meaningful employee experiences and workplace design.  
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate real estate practices, including lease negotiation, capacity planning, construction, vendor and portfolio management with fiduciary discretion, design, and corporate sustainability in mind
  • Progressive experience supporting an internationally distributed workforce across large and small offices and remote locations with a proven history of building and implementing a scalable system of standard operating procedures.
  • Solid planner, program designer, and project manager; experience with organization-wide implementation 
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols, including local regulatory requirements NOM/STPS/Protección Civil, with prior leadership experience in incident management and emergency/crisis response efforts.
  • Experience in managing both a globally distributed team and a workplace portfolio, including new site selection, budgeting, office operations, vendor management, and health & safety compliance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with executives, managers, and employees while building a climate of trust and collaboration
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use metrics  to assess organizational and employee needs, evaluate feedback, and translate those into actionable recommendations to improve the work environment
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator and influencer; Ability to navigate complex issues while promoting solutions-oriented approaches and advocating change.
  • Experience with developing and leading a service-oriented team culture, known for high craft and execution 
  • Experience in highly decentralized decision-making environments; experience in achieving objectives through others
