Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Integration of new data sources into a Data Lake.
Development and extension of software libraries.
Development and debugging of big data pipelines.
Development and maintenance of CI/CD workflows.
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled as a full-time student in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
Initial practical experience in Data Engineering or Data Science is desirable.
Strong desire and ability to learn new things quickly.
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Bash.
Experience with data analytics libraries (pandas, pyspark, …).
Confident working with Linux systems such as Fedora, Red Hat, or Ubuntu
Proficient in using version control systems (Git).
Initial hands-on experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with big data processing tools like Apache Spark or Apache Flink is a plus.
Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is a plus
Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL is a plus.
Experience with Web Development (e.g. Django, Angular), Testing (DocTest, pyTest, etc.), Docker and Kubernetes, ETL (Airflow), Code Quality (pylint, etc.) and GitOps tools (e. g. ArgoCD) is a plus
