In order to support Research & Technology (R&T), Airbus Operations is looking for a

Working student in Data Analytics (d/f/m)

You are a full time student, looking for a working student position and want to get to know the work of a Data Analyst?  Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in BCXAO as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week! 

• Location: Hamburg Finkenwerder
• Start:as soon as possible
• Duration: 12 months

You will receive a collectively agreed salary of at least €18.53 per hour, depending on the job. There are also special payments such as vacation pay.

Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your location:  Hamburg Finkenwerder 

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Basically, you'll be digging into R&T data (like budget, project plans, finance stuff) to find cool insights and make better visualizations.
• Helping the Data Quality team with fresh ideas on existing data.
• Upgrading current reporting tools and methods—lots of room to innovate!
• The core work is data analysis: Collecting, cleaning, and processing data from different systems. Analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting data for deliverables (dashboards, performance reports, business recommendations, etc.). Helping communicate those findings clearly. Developing and improving testing methods (scripts and queries).

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Engineering, Informatics, Business Admin or
• You're a pro with Google tools (Sheets/pivot, Slides, Looker, App script, Datastudio).
• Solid skills with Data Analytics tools like Python (Pandas, Jupyter notebook) and QlikSense.
• English fluency is a must (German, French, Spanish are a bonus!).
• You have good experience in coding and data analytics and want to use those skills in a real-world setting.
• You know the basics of Project Management and problem-solving methods.
• Be a team player but also able to work solo.
