Working Student - Corporate IT

At SumUp, our Global Corporate IT team is the enabling backbone for all SumUppers worldwide. As a team of specialists, we are dedicated to ensuring that every employee has the right technology to work efficiently and securely. The team plays a key role in providing reliable equipment, maintaining devices, and making sure everything from laptops to AV systems runs smoothly across all our offices.

In Berlin, you will take direct ownership of all on-site tech. You will be on the front line of enabling SumUppers—making sure their laptops, tools, and equipment work seamlessly so they can focus on serving our merchants. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global fintech environment, contributing to global IT standards while empowering our local office to operate with greater intelligence and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Act as on-site support for day-to-day user requests and general office technology.
  • Audit, maintain, and troubleshoot our AV rooms (Google Meet) and all office tech equipment.
  • Serve as the on-site escalation point for the Corporate IT team, providing the “eyes and hands” needed locally to execute remote guidance and diagnose issues.
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees, from ordering hardware to providing on-site help for new joiners to get them rolling.
  • Collaborate closely with Office Management to support live events and ensure all technical aspects run smoothly.

  • You’ve used or explored basic computer hardware and are comfortable fixing small issues.
  • You are familiar with Windows or macOS (or both!).
  • You stay organised, communicate clearly, and like having a routine and following processes well.
  • You’re curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently once shown what to do.
