Summary of the Position:

We are currently looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) Asset Management Residential, who supports the day-to-day operations of the Residential Asset Management team across existing assets as well as development and acquisition projects. The role involves preparing analyses, reports, and presentations, supporting investment and leasing activities, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the performance and value creation of the residential portfolio.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, a structured and proactive working style, and a keen interest in residential real estate and asset management. Excellent communication skills, confidence in handling data and presentations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment will ensure success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Residential Asset Management team across existing properties as well as development and acquisition projects
  • Prepare and maintain internal and external reports, including KPI analyses, performance monitoring, budget tracking, and leasing metrics
  • Create presentations, decision papers, and project-related analyses for internal and external stakeholders
  • Compile and prepare relevant documentation for asset valuations, financing processes, and regular review cycles
  • Support acquisition processes, including preparation of investment proposals, market and location analyses, and assistance with business plan modeling and scenario analyses for residential real estate projects
  • Conduct cost and profitability analyses at asset and portfolio level and support budget, forecast, and liquidity management
  • Support leasing management activities, such as monitoring vacancy rates, reviewing target benchmarks, and initiating measures to optimize leasing performance
  • Coordinate and liaise with external service providers, including property and leasing managers, brokers, and technical consultants
  • Support warranty and defect management in close cooperation with technical partners and warranty managers
  • Prepare regular market, competitor, and trend analyses, including research on macroeconomic developments and real estate market trends
  • Support the optimization of internal filing systems, processes, and workflows
  • Take ownership of smaller projects and actively contribute within a motivated, interdisciplinary team as part of an integrated management platform

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a focus on real estate or a related discipline with a real estate specialization
  • Initial practical experience in the real estate sector is an advantage
  • Strong interest in residential real estate markets, asset management, tenancy law, and both operational and strategic asset management topics
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in business plan analyses, cash flow modeling, and the evaluation of financial KPIs
  • Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to prepare professional analyses, presentations, and documents
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Careful, structured, and responsible working style, particularly when handling figures, reports, and sensitive documentation
  • Enjoyment of research, market and location analyses, and the interpretation and presentation of data
  • High level of motivation, willingness to learn, and openness to gradually taking on responsibility for own tasks and smaller projects
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
