Summary of Job Duties:

Responsibilities: Primary duties include serving as the EMS Program Director and Lead Instructor. This includes coordinating and supervising all EMS program courses to ensure compliance with CoAEMSP accreditation and ARDEMS regulations. The instructor will teach EMS, NAEMT, and AHA classes and coordinate all EMS and AHA continuing education courses. Additional responsibilities include maintaining clinical affiliate agreements, coordinating with the Advisory Committee, and preparing regulatory reports. The position requires a willingness to learn online teaching requirements, teach evening classes, serve on university committees, and perform other duties assigned by the Assistant Vice Chancellor and the Director of Allied Health.


Qualifications:

Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in EMS, health/health related field, or education), be an Arkansas Certified Paramedic Instructor, and be a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Must possess a current, unencumbered paramedic license with a minimum of 2 years' experience; 3-5 years preferred. Documented education or experience in instructional methodology is required. Experience with National Registry Standards and accreditation processes is preferred.
