Job Description Summary

The Workflow Integration (WFI) Senior Consultant is responsible for delivery of productivity solutions for GE HealthCare clients. The WFI works as part of a client delivery teams to create and implement advisory and technology solutions to improve financial, operational, clinical or patient safety outcomes within healthcare provider institutions. Owns and personally delivers pieces of the overall client engagement as well as train/mentor/oversee the work of consultants or associate consultants on the engagement team. Project types include improving health system utilization and implementing real-time analytics in command centers to dynamically optimize coordination of patient care. In addition, the candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to lead.

This is a remote position open across the continental US. The role will require weekly travel to customer sites Monday-Thursday.

Job Description

Responsibilities Include:

  • Independently collect, synthesize, and validate HIS back-end systems HL7 and non-HL7 data to support development of software development integrating knowledge of patient and clinical workflow to ensure analytics are effective.
  • Work closely with engineering to transfer systems and messaging knowledge in daily scrums and throughout the development processes including validation and delivery.
  • Work closely with clients to validate analytics and coach/teach interpretation and use of the analytics to achieve program goals of action-oriented responses and deeper understanding of “state of the house” operations. 
  • Plan and complete assigned work within the engagement with high quality on time and on budget (e.g., leading and/or mentoring other senior consultants, consultants, or associate consultants in deliverable completion in large projects, act as an engagement leader on smaller client projects)
  • Establish credibility and develop relationships with Client Leadership
  • Own the IT Relationship for Command Center; and establish credibility and develop relationships with mid-level client managers.
  • Prepare and deliver succinct, clear, and insightful and influential executive-level presentations.
  • Proactively identify client needs and assist in developing solutions (e.g., help to identify business development/upsell opportunities within the client)
  • Responsible for creating and delivering Data Specifications to customer and engineering.
  • Facilitate effective, cross-functional working sessions with clients and GE stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the collection, validation, and analysis of data to support engagement objectives.
  • Serve as a professional representative of GEHC in all public and client settings.
  • Participating in Knowledge Management activities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum five years of experience in; advisory services, performance improvement and healthcare informatics in a healthcare setting.

  • Minimum three years of experience leading and managing projects with outcome focused deliverables. 

  • Experience with EHR and other clinical systems.

  • Experience in HL7, FHIR, and API data sources.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficiency in Data base tools such as Microsoft DBA Tools SSMS/Azure Data Studio.

  • Ability to travel at least 75%.

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or master’s degree and a minimum five years of experience in either advisory services or consulting and a minimum two years of healthcare clinical or administrative experience.

  • Strong awareness and understanding of the healthcare industry and major trends in the geography in which client projects are delivered. 

  • Demonstrated data mining and analytical skills.

  • Experience working in a healthcare provider / acute care setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and to consistently meet or exceed performance expectations.

  • Ability to adjust work and communication style based on situational needs.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking to include the evaluation of ideas and synthesizing of information into insights.

  • Proven ability to accomplish large volume of high-quality work under pressure.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $99,200.00-$148,800.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
