The Enterprise Application Services section at JPL seeks an Enterprise Systems Analyst to join their People IT Services team.   In this role, we’re looking for a candidate who possesses the required Workday experience in HR and other modules in the areas of configuration, reporting, security administration, and integration to ensure the continued reliability, accuracy, and compliance of the Workday platform.

The Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Section maintains stewardship over the ever-evolving Business IT portfolio of applications and systems required to support JPL's robust and complex business processes. It manages the system lifecycle for key business processes. It provides analytical and technical services as well as working closely with the Laboratory's business community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support the Workday system, which includes Core HCM, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Payroll, and Compensation.

  • Configure, implement, and maintain system changes, including business process design, to achieve optimized functionality and streamlined processes.

  • Design and deliver custom reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday reporting tools.

  • Ensure data accuracy and quality through monitoring, audits, and exception reporting.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather priorities and requirements, configure business processes, achieve goals and address gaps.

  • Support the deployment of system updates and releases, including a focus on thorough testing.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday and related HR and/or Payroll functionalities.

  • Configure and maintain payroll settings, including earnings, deductions, tax setups, and GL mapping.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance,

    or similar discipline with a minimum of 6 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Strong experience with Workday Core HCM, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Payroll, and Compensation

  • Strong experience with Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, configurations, and security administration

  • Proven ability to build Workday custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.

  • Working knowledge and experience with Workday Extend

  • Must be a U.S. person

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and experience with UKG Pro Time & Attendance is a plus

  • Understanding of HR, Payroll, and Compliance reporting standards in non-profit and government organizations. 

  • Familiarity with developing, maintaining, and supporting Workday integrations using Workday Studio

  • Familiarity with UKG Pro integrations.

  • Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Suite

  • Familiarity with SQL

The hiring range displayed below is specifically for those who will work in or reside in the location listed. In extending an offer, Jet Propulsion Laboratory considers factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s job related skills, experience, knowledge, and relevant education/training.

The typical full time equivalent annual hiring range for this job in Pasadena, California.

$125,736 - $137,696
