Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consultant

The Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by 
solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the 
transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday 
implementation. They must have a technical aptitude and be capable of configuring 
the project to meet the business and design qualifications. 

Responsibilities:
• Become a Workday product expert with knowledge of design, 
configuration, testing and implementation.
• Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the 
client’s requirements, budget and timeframe; with the flexibility to adapt 
the scope as additional needs are identified.
Track issues and risks communicate status and escalate concerns 
applicable for all clients in their portfolio.
• Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration 
decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s 
unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
• Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, 
ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM 
solution.
• Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the 
client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes 
or progress related to the project.
• Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant
or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
• Display a hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client 
data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring 
business processes and security.
• Utilize the technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data 

conversion templates via iLoads.
• Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share 
one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience highly 
desired.
• 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience 
preferred.
• 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software 
highly desired.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, 
testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 07/27/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $86,095 - $129,127 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
