WMS Analyst IV

The WMS Analyst IV is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for advanced analysis, configuration support, and continuous improvement of the Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMi) and related systems, with a primary focus on the Moreno Valley
Distribution Center.

This role works closely with Distribution Center Operations to analyze system usage, identify improvement opportunities, and support solutions that increase productivity, improve labor efficiency, and reduce operating costs. The position operates in a highly automated warehouse environment, including KNAPP material handling equipment (MHE) and pocket sortation systems, Beumer Cross-Belt unit sorters, and outbound shipping sorters, ensuring alignment between WMS, labor management, automation systems, and business processes.

The role also supports the transition from WMi to Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) and Manhattan Active Labor Management (MALM) by contributing to system analysis, design validation, testing, and deployment activities. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

WMi System Analysis & Support

  • Analyze Manhattan WMi system configurations, workflows, and data to support daily distribution center operations
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration recommendations
  • Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support root cause analysis
  • Ensure system data integrity and alignment with operational processes

Operations Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Moreno Valley DC Operations to analyze processes and identify system-driven improvements
  • Support initiatives that improve productivity, throughput, and labor efficiency
  • Recommend solutions that reduce manual processes and operating costs
  • Evaluate system performance and provide data-driven recommendations

WMi to MAWM / MALM Transition Support

  • Analyze current WMi configurations and operational workflows to support future-state MAWM/MALM design
  • Participate in system testing (SIT/UAT), validation, and deployment activities
  • Support data migration analysis and validation
  • Assist in identifying gaps between current and future system capabilities

Automation & Integration (KNAPP / Pocket Sorters)

  • Analyze interactions between WMS, labor management, and automation systems including KNAPP shuttle and pocket sorters
  • Support troubleshooting of system and interface issues across WMS and automation platforms
  • Validate system behavior and data flow across WMS, WCS/WES, and material handling systems
  • Support integration with ERP, EDI, TMS, and other enterprise systems

Data Integration & Interfaces

  • Analyze data flows, message structures, and system interactions between WMS and connected systems
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of interface and data issues
  • Validate integration performance and data accuracy during system changes and deployments

Testing, Deployment & Documentation

  • Develop and execute test scenarios for system changes and enhancements
  • Support system deployments, enhancements, and new functionality
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guides
  • Provide user support and guidance on WMS functionality

Development Collaboration, Design & Testing

  • Work closely with internal and external development teams to support solution design, configuration alignment, and technical implementation
  • Translate business and operational requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with WMi capabilities and constraints
  • Support and validate development through unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Identify defects, track issues, and coordinate resolution with development teams
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet functional requirements, performance expectations, and operational usability

Performance Expectations

  • Improve operational performance through system analysis and recommendations
  • Increase labor productivity and warehouse throughput
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and system data integrity
  • Reduce operating costs through system and process improvements
  • Support successful WMi to MAWM / MALM transition with minimal disruption
  • Ensure stable and reliable system performance

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Advanced knowledge of Manhattan WMi functionality and configuration
  • Exposure to Manhattan Active WM (MAWM) and Labor Management (MALM) preferred
  • SQL and database analysis
  • IBM i (AS/400) platform experience
  • Experience with system integrations (APIs, EDI, flat files, message queues)
  • Understanding of WCS/WES and automation system integration
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate into system solutions
  • Effective communication with technical and operational teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy and execution
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Must possess a valid passport and ability to obtain required visas for travel

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience with Manhattan Associates WMi Warehouse Management System
  • Strong experience in WMS analysis, configuration support, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in highly automated warehouse environments
  • Experience with KNAPP MHE and pocket sortation systems preferred
  • Experience supporting WMS implementations, upgrades, or system transitions
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred

The pay range for this position is $100,000-$125,000/yr USD.
