This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:

Responsible for planning and arranging the labor, schedules, equipment and diagnostics required for testing and evaluating both standard and special devices. Specifies tests to be performed and provides test area with parameters for sample testing. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment and diagnostics, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain, and execute cost effective and reliable automated test suites for functional, integration, regression, end-to-end tests in cloud environments. 
• Deploy automation scripts as Jenkins job to be executed as part of CI/CD Pipeline 
• Design test cases for microservices and Applications. 
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug and root cause bugs. 
• Design and Implement Automation workflows to install, configure, upgrade infrastructure components like Redis, Elastic Search, Vault, Consul etc. 

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:  

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. 
• Typically 2-4 years experience 

 

Knowledge and Skills:  

• Using testing tools and software packages to automate test processes. 
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Experience of scripting languages (e.g. python, java) for test script development 
• Good communication skills 

Good to have: 

• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP) 
• Experience with working on a cloud platform; i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP 
• Experience with any of the backend infra components like Kubernetes/EKS, Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis, Vault, Consul, Kafka/MSK, Arango DB, Click house DB, Cockroach DB etc.
