The Global Digital Acceleration co-ops will be key team members supporting the development of digital strategies, plans, and training that leads to the successful adoption of transformational change across Manulife. Co-ops will contribute to the process of evolving our customer interactions into innovative, immersive, and highly functional digital experiences delivering high value.
Position Responsibilities:
Component creation and refinement: Work with senior designers to develop new components and improve existing ones by ensuring they are flexible, consistent, and accessible. This can include tasks like adding new states to a button or updating components for semantic color values.
Documentation and maintenance: Maintain the design system's documentation by updating guidelines, naming conventions, and best practices to align with the latest changes. This ensures that other designers and developers can use the system effectively.
Collaboration and support: Act as a point of contact for questions from other product teams regarding the design system. This can involve responding to questions, helping to onboard new team members, training and creating training assets and providing support for incorporating the system into their work.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a master’s degree or undergraduate degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Science, Social Studies or related discipline.
General business level understanding of digital technologies, including web development, digital marketing, and software development.
Some knowledge of organizational transformation / change management and Agile methodologies is an asset.
Possess skills to communicate and take lead initiatives within a team.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic, ever-changing work environment.
Excellent communication and ability to implement tactics consistent with business objectives.
