About the Team
Our Server Support team is the backbone of enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical systems. We work collaboratively across IT operations, network engineering, and application teams to deliver seamless server management and support for business continuity.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform installation, configuration, and patching of operating systems and server applications.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures.
- Administer virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement hardening practices.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for capacity planning and disaster recovery.
- Provide Tier-3 support for escalated server-related incidents and root cause analysis.
- Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years in systems administration with a focus on server support.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- Security & Compliance: Understanding of server hardening, patch management, and regulatory compliance.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Strong collaboration and documentation skills for working in a global team environment.
- Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware VCP, or equivalent.
