The Role

As a Windows Server Administrator at Kyndryl, you will support and administer Microsoft Windows Server environments that power enterprise and business‑critical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining system availability, security, and performance while supporting production environments under defined service levels.

You will work collaboratively with infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud teams to manage Windows platforms, resolve incidents, and execute system changes following ITIL best practices. This role provides growth opportunities to develop your technical skills while supporting reliable and scalable IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Windows Server operating systems (2012/2016/2019/2022), including installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance.

  • Manage Active Directory services, including users, groups, Group Policies (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP.

  • Provide operational support for critical production environments, including incident analysis and troubleshooting within defined SLAs.

  • Execute operating system patching, updates, version management, and basic automation using PowerShell.

  • Maintain operational documentation and support change execution following ITIL and organizational best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ year of hands‑on experience supporting Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
  • Experience with Windows server installation, configuration, hardening, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Basic experience administering Active Directory, including users, groups, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience analyzing system events, logs, and troubleshooting operating system and service issues.
  • Basic automation or scripting experience using PowerShell.
  • Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience administering Windows services such as IIS, file services, and print services.
  • Exposure to virtualized or cloud environments (VMware and/or Microsoft Azure).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
  • Strong documentation skills and willingness to follow standardized operational procedures.
