Wholesale Banking Change Expert

Organisational context 

You are part of the COO Tech & Transformation organisation. You will be a member of one of the expert teams who report into the Head of Global Change & Transformation (C&T) Capabilities.   

 

You will be working closely with change experts and consultants who work on assignments which are strategically most relevant for ING.  

 

You will be part of the Expert Team Financial Markets Group Treasury.  The team consists of 10 colleagues who deliver change initiatives with a global scope to ensure that ING delivers on its strategic objective and external commitments. 

 

You will be part of an inclusive global community which develops the global practice and capability of all change practitioners within ING’s international network.

What you will do:

  • Set-up programmes for successful delivery and take on strategic initiatives

  • Deliver on commitments (strategic milestones) according to plan: on time, on quality and on budget

  • Orchestrate complex change across countries, business lines and functions with focus on executional certainly, predictability and adherence to our global standards

  • Bring transparency, manage dependencies and risks, facilitate decision making, deal with impediments, manage and engage stakeholders

  • Ensure that the outcomes are embedded in business as usual 

  • Actively share lessons learned as we want to be a learning organisation 

What we are looking for:

  • An all-round change professional with experience in the delivery of complex change initiatives.

  • Competent knowledge/experience of Wholesale Banking is a plus. Understanding the ING IT landscape and having experience in IT delivery (e.g. preparing and leading migrations) is a plus.

  • Experience in (agile) delivery in an international context and collaborating across borders and cultures (across tribes, countries and functional lines)

  • Ability to successfully manage projects (from initiation and designing the outcomes (in close collaboration with tribe leads, architects and consultants) to embedding the outcomes.

  • Ability to coach junior colleagues and colleagues supporting the programme on-the-job

  • High resilience, the ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity

  • Proactive, a can-do mentality, a positive mind-set and organisational sensitivity

  • A global and growth mindset  

  • The motivation to contribute to the development of the global change practice 

  • A customer focus and the ability to build trust and engagement with key stakeholders at senior levels in the bank

  • Excellent level of English

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications (e.g. MSP, Agile PgM)
