The Welder is responsible for the various tasks such as the preparation, welding, and finishing of complex welded fabrications, responsible for product quality. The Welder is responsible for the correct completion of complex welded fabrications. If problems arise concerning capacity, supply lead times or technical matters, these incidents are escalated to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
Main Tasks
- Selecting, processing, and welding of small or single unit production series or semi-finished products, mainly from stainless steel parts. All work is carried out in accordance with the designated welding techniques, taking into account the required productivity levels and the set quality standards
- Set up and calibrate welding equipment in accordance with set procedures and technical drawings, applicable quality standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations, so that the work can be carried out in accordance with the company procedures
- Comply with supply lead times and standard times as set by the Team Leader
- Perform simple maintenance of tools and instruments. Larger maintenance issues are escalated to the Team Leader
- Safe and certified operation of industrial equipment as needed (crane and/or tie loads)
- Check parts for presence, dimensions, and quality
- Proactive in sharing relevant knowledge with other employees and support best practices
- Correcting identified defects and modifying the process description where necessary
- Participate in other work activities adhering to the Team Leader’s/Supervisor’s instructions

Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Secondary education in a relevant technical field adhering to local legal requirements
- Welding certificate; TIG or equivalent adhering to local legal requirements
- Experience of welding and welding technology
- Operational knowledge of the relevant software and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
