GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for a Welder I to join our Production Team!

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Standard Vessels and Heat Exchangers

  • Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, and heat exchangers to required specifications and budgets

  • Assembles, welds, and installs sub assembly parts

  • Welds internal and external parts

  • Installs heads and sub arc

  • Sub arc wrappers

  • Assembles and welds supports, legs and angles

  • Assembles and welds water boxes

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Standard Compressor Packages

  • Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.

  • Assembles and welds sub assembly parts

  • Installs package components

  • Assembles weld and installs system piping

  • Assist in training less experienced employees

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

  • Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred

  • Minimum Experience: Vocation Training or Less than 2 related assembly experience

  • Pipe welding (Ability to qualify in a 6G test for Mig, Pulse and Tig)

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic blueprint reading

  • Basic fabrication skills

  • Comprehension of safety rules

  • Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.

  • Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs

  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery

  • Willingness to work extended hours when required to support customer satisfaction

  • Supports all continuous improvement and 6S standards

  • Follow all Safety Policy PPE Requirements

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
