Reporting to and collaborating with the Robotics & Automation Operations Manager, the incumbent contributes to service excellence on the BotX Cobotic welder, weld automation equipment, and other specialty products. This includes installation, preventative maintenance, onsite troubleshooting, component repair, and system integration & upgrades, all while upholding a safe working environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Promotes a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.

  • Provides service for all types of automation & specialty products, including the BotX Cobotic welding system, weld automation, induction heating, orbital welding & end prep equipment, and dry ice blasting machines.

  • Collaborates to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical related issues within the systems.

  • Supports the testing, calibration, and operation of machines according to manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Facilitates the completion of service documentation in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Supports the accurate and timely completion of all rental/sale order and shipping documentation.

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment by promoting health and safety guidelines both at RDA and customer facilities.

  • Occasionally provides equipment service and customer support off-site.

  • Opportunity to attend a minimum of 2 weeks of company-paid training per year focused on growing your technical expertise and ability to serve our customer base.

  • Works closely with customers as a key liaison to cultivate trust and provide excellent solutions for the customer and RDA.

  • Assists with quarterly fixed asset and parts inventories through a team-oriented approach.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Ideally, you bring 3+ years of related technical experience.

  • Familiarity with welding, automation equipment, and industrial processes is highly valued.

  • Exposure to solid-state motor controls is a welcomed asset.

  • A valid Driver’s License is required for this role.

  • Candidates should be at least 18 years of age.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a one-year Technical College is preferred; we also welcome equivalent experience in a related field.
