We’re looking for a Weekend Receptionist to join our Front of House team based at The Wellington Hospital. Our Front of House team is the face of the hospital and plays a crucial role in shaping first impressions, delivering a seamless and welcoming experience for patients, consultants and visitors alike. Operating within a world‑class private healthcare setting, the team combines exceptional customer service with efficiency, discretion and professionalism, ensuring everyone entering the hospital feels supported, informed and cared for from the very first moment.
As a Weekend Receptionist, you’ll be at the heart of the hospital experience, acting as the first point of contact and setting the tone for every visit. From warmly greeting patients and visitors to coordinating transport, deliveries and essential communications, your role is both varied and impactful. No two days are the same, and you’ll work closely with clinical and non‑clinical teams to ensure the hospital runs smoothly around the clock. This is a highly visible role where your professionalism, calm approach and attention to detail directly contribute to delivering a 5‑star service in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment.

What you’ll do:
Provide a warm, professional meet and greet service for patients, visitors and consultants
Direct visitors, staff and doctors to the correct departments efficiently and courteously
Coordinate deliveries, couriers, shuttle services and taxi bookings
Operate the telephone system and switchboard, delivering a prompt and professional service
Play an active role in emergency response procedures and maintain a safe, welcoming lobby environment
What you’ll bring:
Previous receptionist experience within a 5* environment or private healthcare setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy and confidence using multiple systems
The ability to remain calm, professional and effective under pressure
