What the Role Entails
As a Machine Learning Intern, you will contribute to our team's efforts in exploring and implementing advanced ML solutions for WeChat's security and content moderation systems.
Focus on GNN applications for malicious account detection and community discovery, where you'll help design graph structures, test diffusion strategies, and validate models in production scenarios.
Optimizing time-series anomaly detection models to identify suspicious patterns in registration and login behaviors across different security contexts.
Participate in fine-tuning large language models for customer complaint and report classification, ensuring our systems stay current with evolving definitions and categories through data preparation, model experimentation, and performance evaluation.
Who We Look For
Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related fields with strong Python programming skills and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
You should have foundational knowledge of graph neural networks, time-series analysis, and natural language processing, along with familiarity with model training, evaluation, and optimization techniques
Experience with clustering algorithms, similarity metrics, and statistical analysis would be valuable. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
Any prior experience with LLM fine-tuning, LoRA, or security-related ML applications would be considered a plus.
Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills, able to translate between business and technical audiences
Fluency in both English and Mandarin to deal with international stakeholders and stakeholders who are based in HQ
