Website Content & SEO Lead Web Strategy

SEO/AEO | Content Governance | Digital Experience Optimization

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid/Onsite)

World Kinect is expanding its global digital marketing capabilities, and this role is central to elevating the structure, quality, and search performance of our corporate website. As the Website Content & SEO Lead, you will own the strategy, governance, and execution of web content and SEO best practices across our global web ecosystem. You will collaborate across marketing, content, UX, analytics, and technology teams to ensure the website delivers an exceptional user experience, achieves strong search visibility, and supports business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Geographic Engine Optimization) strategies to improve global and regional visibility, traffic, and conversion.
  • Own the website’s content strategy, information architecture, publishing workflows, and governance standards.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, user journeys, accessibility standards, and business objectives.
  • Lead on-site SEO execution, including keyword research, metadata optimization, internal linking, content hierarchy, structured content, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with developers to implement schema markup, improve site speed, enhance mobile responsiveness, and support technical SEO initiatives.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to marketing and content teams on SEO and CMS publishing best practices.
  • Serve as the primary owner for site maintenance, hosting coordination, user access permissions, content audits, and performance reporting.
  • Continuously monitor analytics and insights to drive experience optimization, content improvements, and search performance enhancements.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for CMS enhancements, re‑platforming initiatives, feature backlog prioritization, and digital tooling adoption.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in website management, SEO strategy, CMS administration, and content operations.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, or Optimizely; comfortable with HTML/CSS and technical SEO.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools including Google Business Profiles, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Moz, or similar.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, HubSpot, HotJar, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
  • Strong writing, editing, and UX‑focused content structuring skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and guide non‑technical teams.
