Wealth Management Private Wealth – Legal Internship  

Location: Springfield, MO 

 

Job Description 

An internship with Simmons Bank’s Private Wealth Department provides a current law school student an opportunity to receive work experience to complement their course work.  The work will be related to a professional interest in personal trust administration.  A Simmons Sidekick will guide the intern and offer day to day advice on how to navigate the business or solve challenging problems.  Simmons Bank will benefit from the internship as real work or valuable projects are completed during the course of the internship.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Simmons Bank’s Private Wealth Internship Program ("Program") provides current law students with the ability to gain insight in the field of personal trust administration.  Interns will delve into areas of technical application encompassing property law, tax law, trust instruments, fiduciary law, regulations, estate planning, and wealth management principles.  Participants will support the Private Wealth Department on a wide range of projects. 

 

Expected responsibilities include: 

  • trust and estate review, 

  • regulatory reviews, 

  • organizing client engagement, 

  • assisting with the review of policies and procedures, and 

  • assisting with various department projects as needed. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a law degree at an accredited law school. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Outstanding time management and project management skills. 

  • Microsoft Office skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Positive attitude, fast learner, and team player. 

  • An interest in working in Private Wealth at Simmons Bank.
