Serves as the primary relationship manager for high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, delivering a comprehensive wealth management experience that integrates banking solutions, investment strategies, and holistic financial planning. This role combines credit and lending proficiency with investment and planning expertise ensuring clients receive seamless, end-to-end financial advice. Coordinates multi-disciplinary teams to craft and execute creative solutions for the client.
- Develops and executes the business development strategy, sales targets and the sales results for the assigned region.
- Develops internal and external networks and referral sources to grow business in the assigned portfolio / jurisdiction.
- Enhances presence in the marketplace by collaborating with other experts (e.g. internal team, outside attorneys, accountants) to create integrated business development plan.
- Acts as the primary Relationship Manager for assigned client relationships
- Leads / assists with creation business proposals or presentations (e.g. relationship plans, financial plans and reviews)
- Leads Annual Client Review with team members to evaluate changing needs, increase communication with client, and implement the client experience.
- Produces client reports that demonstrate the value provided and assesses clients at-risk for retention.
- Ensures timely execution of transactions and requests.
- Proactively identifies client needs and concerns to diagnose and facilitate resolution of client issues.
- Introduces subject matter experts to the client.
- Shares wealth solutions expertise and product knowledge across regional team.
- Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory changes through ongoing training and professional development.
- Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Acts as the central point of contact for clients, coordinating all aspects of their financial needs.
- Builds deep, trusted relationships and delivers personalized advice aligned with clients’ goals.
- Provides tailored banking solutions that include credit facilities, mortgages, and liquidity strategies.
- Designs and implements investment portfolios and wealth planning strategies (e.g. retirement, estate, tax optimization).
- Collaborates with internal specialists for tax, trust and insurance solutions to deliver holistic advice.
- Ensures adherence to regulatory, legal and ethical requirements.
- Maintains rigorous risk management practices across all client solutions.
- Conducts regular reviews to assess progress toward financial objectives.
- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.

- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA certification preferred.
- Certified Financial Planner is preferred.
- Experience dealing with HNW and UHNW clients.
- Broad knowledge of all facets of wealth management.
- In-depth knowledge of Bank products, services and capabilities.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

$74,000.00 - $138,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
