Position Summary

In your role as a UPW Engineer you'll work alongside a talent team of engineers focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, supporting, and improving the UPW plants at SAS. You'll be a system owner and critical team member of UPW Engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Complete project management of multiple projects across the UPW systems.

  • Participating in and leading some of the commissioning activities, and provides subject matter expertise to contractors and the internal team for any commissioning or construction related issues.

  • Monitoring daily trends, perform equipment inspections, and coordinate with OPS regarding work orders and process improvement projects

  • Supporting and collaborating with the plant operations team to develop and implement process improvements.

  • Execute complete ownership and accountability of the entire system scope and projects.

  • Proactively troubleshoot critical UPW system issues and/or baseline shifts.

  • Researching and developing new innovative technologies to improve UPW quality and reliability; plan, request and implement improvements.

  • Supporting instrumentation, maintenance, and operations groups in day-to-day tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Process or Industrial Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in an Engineering environment, preferably within Design or Operations + 5+ years experience in a facilities, engineering and/or project management environment is strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of general water treatment technologies and/or processes.

  • Advanced knowledge of ultrapure water and / or  general water treatment systems.

  • Professional Engineering License a plus.

  • PMP Certification a plus.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
