WWTP Mechanic (Wastewater Treatment Plant Mechanic)

About the Role:

The WWTP Mechanic is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s wastewater treatment plant and associated systems. Your expertise directly supports Four Seasons’ environmental stewardship by ensuring treated water consistently meets regulatory requirements and brand standards, while maintaining reliable and sustainable plant performance.

What you will do:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, including pumps, blowers, aeration systems, clarifiers, filters, dosing systems, and control panels.


• Monitor plant performance to ensure treated water quality meets all local regulations and Four Seasons reuse standards.


• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on WWTP equipment and mechanical systems.


• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues to minimize downtime.


• Maintain accurate operational logs, test results, shift reports, and maintenance records in accordance with hotel and regulatory requirements.


• Coordinate with Engineering colleagues and external service providers for specialized inspections or service needs.


• Support water conservation, reuse, and sustainability initiatives across the property.


• Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, safety, and Four Seasons operational standards.


• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions in all WWTP and mechanical work areas.


• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including alarm conditions, equipment failures, and system upsets.

What you will bring:

• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Environmental, Wastewater Engineering, or a related field.


• 2–5 years of experience operating or maintaining a wastewater treatment plant in a hotel, resort, industrial, or commercial environment.


• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical systems, and basic controls/instrumentation.


• Familiarity with local environmental regulations, water quality standards, and reporting requirements.


• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems (preferred).


• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.


• High attention to detail and commitment to environmental safety and compliance.


• Ability to work independently with professionalism and accountability.
• Good communication and documentation skills.


• Physically capable of working in plant environments, including confined spaces when required.


• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency callouts.
