The Concord, MA Wastewater Treatment Facility is the first wastewater plant on the planet to utilize CoMag treatment technology, which uses magnets to help treat the wastewater resulting in a highly polished final effluent. Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we work towards 100% compliance which is achieved by daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system. The Concord, MA staff is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and the building and grounds. This full-time position is responsible for the operation and general maintenance of equipment at a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility. Primary focus will be in laboratory analysis, record keeping, and process control. Secondary focus is assisting with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds maintenance.
Schedule: Our operators participate in an “on call” rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours, including weekends. In addition, operators will be required to respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed. The daily schedule is Monday – Friday, 7.00AM – 3.30PM.
