Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WASH Infrastructure Implementation

  • Support the installation of water treatment systems, latrines, and rehabilitation of water sources based on technical designs.
  • Supervise contractors and community workers during construction and installation processes.
  • Ensure construction quality aligns with technical guidelines.
  • Work closely with the NO WASH Technical Team for technical support, troubleshooting, and capacity building.
  • Participate in planning meetings and learning sessions organized by the technical unit.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Use mWater software to monitor WASH activity outputs and service functionality.
  • Conduct regular field visits for activity monitoring and provide timely recommendations for improvements.
  • Document progress and contribute to reports as required.

Hygiene Promotion

  • Coordinate and co-facilitate hygiene promotion trainings with the NO Hygiene Specialist.
  • Support the distribution and appropriate use of hygiene materials.

Partner Coordination and Oversight

  • Monitor and provide technical guidance to local implementing partners.
  • Ensure partner activities are aligned with project standards and timelines.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks responsively assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Proactively take on additional duties as needed.
  • Take ownership of personal career development through an agreed plan with the manager, aligned with World Vision’s strategic goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in (Prefer: Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in WASH implementation, preferably in humanitarian or development settings
  • Experience with WASH infrastructure and hygiene promotion is essential.
  • Proficiency in local languages. Working proficiency in English is asset.
  • Ability to travel frequently to targeted area. Valid Motorbike license is an asset. 
  • Able to use motorbike is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in WASH implementation, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
  • Experience with WASH infrastructure and hygiene promotion is essential.
  • Good understanding of mWater or similar monitoring tools is preferred.
  • Strong coordination, field supervision, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in diverse cultural settings.
