About the opportunity
ListenWell is one of the pioneering peer-led telephone support services in Victoria and a foundational program of Wellways, emphasising the value of lived experience and fostering genuine connections within the community. Warmline is a 100% peer-led service, supported by coordinators and team members who bring their own lived and living experiences of mental health challenges.
ListenWell provides individuals in the community, as well as participants from across Wellways, with compassionate, non-judgemental peer support. Volunteers offer a safe space to connect with someone who genuinely understands the realities of living with mental health challenges, providing emotional support, practical referral advice, and, most importantly, a personable and empathetic listening ear.
ListenWell operates from 9 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), offering flexibility to volunteer in a capacity that fits your availability and commitments. Every day is a chance to use your compassion and understanding to positively impact someone’s mental health journey.
