The Warehouse Technician will maintain the branch’s inventory, purchase records, ordering and delivery. In addition, they will work with branch management on fleet operations including reporting, maintaining spreadsheets, minor maintenance and non-routine repairs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
- Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provide inventory reports to the purchasing and inventory control manager(s).
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
- Picking & receiving materials plus the ability to deliver materials to our field technicians.
- Maintain accurate, daily records of goods received and shipments made.
- Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
- Operate a forklift when necessary (with proper certification).
- Work with the fleet management team to procure, maintain and repurpose fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate with the insurance specialist(s) to take care of fleet damages.
- All data entry of monthly fleet expenses.
- Available to assist drivers with vehicle needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Basic mechanic skills, ability to perform maintenance and non-routine repairs.
- Experience with computerized inventory systems (ProfitZoom) preferred
- Forklift operator certification preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and adaptability skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
