DESCRIPTION:

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be part of a collaborative team supporting supply chain operations for our scientific products and services. In the role of Supply Chain Specialist II, you will manage procurement, planning, and logistics activities to ensure the timely delivery of products that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

This role combines analytical thinking with practical implementation to optimize inventory levels, coordinate with stakeholders, and support continuous improvement of supply chain processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Commercial functions, to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining efficient operations.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma with at least 2 years of experience in supply chain, planning, or procurement
  • Preferred fields of study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, QAD) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in regulated environments (GMP, FDA)
  • Good understanding of inventory management principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong commitment to delivery timelines
  • Knowledge of international trade and shipping regulations
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
