Warehouse Supervisor - Real Estate and Off-Campus Housing

Position Summary

Oversee all operational aspects of the Real Estate and Off-Campus Housing warehouse, including inventory controls, materials management, and supply distribution. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, provide on-site leadership and operational support to the Purchasing Coordinator. Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure warehouse operations effectively support departmental objectives, service delivery, and fiscal responsibility.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily warehouse operations supporting the Real Estate departmental needs. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurate inventory records, including regular cycle counts and tool audits. Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure safe and effective operation. Balance customer service expectations with sound fiscal stewardship on behalf of the department and University.   
  • Verify the accuracy of inventory for all deliveries and work orders. Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance inventory controls, systems, and processes. Reconcile inventory records across multiple systems and ensure purchase orders are closed once fully invoiced. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee and support the Purchasing Coordinator’s activities. Routinely evaluate material suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable delivery terms. Resolve vendor and supplier issues as they arise and submit change orders when required to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Serve as department liaison for warehouse and material operational matters. Routinely interact with key maintenance and leasing personnel to ensure business needs and objectives are being met and proper controls and processes are being adhered to.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Occasional lifting (50-75 lbs.).
  • Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations.

  • Steel-toed shoes are required.

Salary Range

$23.37 - $36.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
