Purpose of the function

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves managing staff, coordinating workflows, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a productive and safe environment
 


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving raw materials, storing components, and shipping finished goods. 

  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely supply of materials for manufacturing. 

  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits. 

  • Plan and organize workflow to meet production schedules and distribution deadlines. 

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. 

  • Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to improve efficiency and reduce errors. 

  • Oversee proper handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials. 

  • Manage warehouse equipment and schedule preventive maintenance. 

  • Prepare operational reports on inventory, productivity, and shipping performance for management review.

Education:

  • Advanced education; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations within manufacturing/distribution, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and inventory control processes. 

  • Ability to operate and certify on warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack). 

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
