Role Summary 

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations while managing a small but growing team of 3–5 associates. This hands-on leadership role combines operational execution with people management, ensuring efficient receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping. The Warehouse Lead owns warehouse scheduling, PTO approvals, workload assignment, and resource planning—especially during seasonal volume fluctuations. 

This role is also responsible for maintaining all warehouse management systems (NetSuite and related tools), ensuring strong data accuracy and compliance with FDA requirements. As the leader of an FDA-certified warehouse facility, the Warehouse Lead ensures the warehouse consistently meets internal standards, safety requirements, and all regulatory expectations. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Lead and supervise a team of 3–5 warehouse associates in all daily tasks. 
  • Build and manage weekly work schedules, coordinate staffing based on volume, and approve PTO. 
  • Assign daily work based on priorities, order volume, and operational needs. 
  • Train, coach, and develop warehouse employees to ensure high performance and cross-functional skill coverage. 
  • Foster a positive, safe, and accountable warehouse culture. 

Operational Execution 

  • Work alongside the team to complete receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping of all orders. 
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in fulfillment workflows, resolving operational issues quickly. 
  • Partner with the Director of Operations on scaling strategies during seasonal spikes or promotional events. 

Inventory & Systems Management 

  • Maintain accuracy of all NetSuite/Shipstation transactions including item receipts, transfers, adjustments, and cycle counts. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory integrity through reconciliation, audits, and root-cause investigations. 
  • Oversee all warehouse documentation (BOLs, packing slips, manifests, receipts, and transfers). 
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound schedules with the transportation team and external carriers. 

Compliance & Facility Management 

  • Ensure the facility remains fully compliant with FDA regulations and internal quality standards. 
  • Maintain cleanliness, pest control oversight, sanitation logs, temperature monitoring, and other compliance documentation. 
  • Conduct regular safety checks and support continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance audits and inspections. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 1–5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or team-lead role. 
  • Experience with ERP (NetSuite ) or WMS platforms preferred. 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage conflict, and communicate clearly. 
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining high levels of accuracy and operational excellence. 
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified. 
  • Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills a plus. 
  • Experience in FDA-regulated warehousing (pet food, supplements, food, CPG) strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with fulfilling order for ebay, whatnot, amazon encouraged to apply  

 

Base Salary Range: USD 45-52k annually
