Job Description
Job Summary:
- Receive all inbound materials for the Dairy, including bulk cleaning chemicals.
- Fill out paperwork for all receivables, and enters them on the computer using SAP or DAI software.
- Stage materials needed at Dairy for next day’s run, bringing them over from the satellite warehouse or other warehouses. Document and record lot numbers of receivables and inventories.
- Rotate all materials using FIFO.
- Stage and load recyclables onto a trailer including bails, drums, and broken down boxes. Help to keep track of bottle trailers for the Dairy, and keeping them in supply of bottle trailers.
- Perform environmental cleaning as required. Keep warehouses clean and in order.
- Do cycle count inventories, and monthly inventories of materials. Complete any required documentation including production numbers, weights, downtime, chemical concentrations, etc.
- Must be able to pull a stack of six cases, weighing up to 216 pounds, a short distance.
- Must be able to push/pull a manual pallet hand truck, up to 1,000 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business needs.
- Must follow USDA protocol in regards to illness and food handling procedures. Environmental and other housekeeping cleaning as required. Other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of dairy GMP’s
- Prior machine experience with high-speed packaging and labeling equipment
- Ability to work independently adhering to Wawa safety and productivity standards
- Prior experience in a food-processing environment with focus on quality
- Have the necessary CDL license, permits, and experience to drive a tractor trailer moving trailers
- Ability to enter data using DAI and SAP software, and create documents
- Must be certified in the operation of a riding pallet jack, and a sit down forklift
